Dr. William Hall has a MSc and PhD in Health Economics from the University of British Columbia. Over the course of his academic career, Dr. Hall has participated as a co-investigator and co-applicant in over $2M in grants, had the quality of his work recognized in over a dozen publications and presentations in international conferences and journals, and has served in multiple organizations including: the Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), Creative Destruction Labs (CDL), and the Ontario Bioscience Innovation Organization (OBIO).
Dr. Hall has experience in headroom analysis for early-stage technologies, and has led trial and model based economic evaluation of pharmaceuticals, software, robotics, and home health interventions using both Excel and R. In his PhD, he developed a Markov model based analytic infrastructure using real world data and simulation analysis to inform investment decisions and portfolio management within a BC health authority. Currently, Dr. Hall is assisting the BC Ministry of Health with scaling this approach for provincial deployment.
